GreenPacting 2025 brought together innovators, educators, and business leaders to explore practical strategies for green innovation and sustainable business practices. Organized by Helvetas and the Innovation Management Academy Albania, the event served as a platform for dialogue on how different sectors can collaborate to accelerate the green transition in Albania.

Representing Helvetas, Edlira Muedini highlighted the achievements of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) project, which within recent years responding to global trends also focused on greening jobs for young people and strengthening partnerships with training providers. Ermira Shyti, Skills and Career Guidance Component Lead emphasized the importance of adaptation and market responsiveness—not only from businesses and training institutions but also from young people themselves. She noted that even the language we use in Albanian needs to evolve to reflect the realities of the green economy.

The event also showcased inspiring stories from entrepreneurs who are leading the way in green innovation. Business representatives such as Gentian Zotaj (Frut'Za) and Aneida Bicja (DollAPP) shared their experiences in launching green start-ups, stressing that success is driven by passion and community rather than profit alone. Their stories demonstrated how purpose-driven initiatives can create meaningful impact and foster sustainable growth. Education and youth engagement were central themes of the discussion.

Majlinda Bara, from the European University of Tirana, presented the university’s initiative to develop Green Curricula, starting with training of trainers and expanding into broader capacity-building projects. Meanwhile, youth activist Denisa Kasa reminded participants of the power of individual action and the importance of speaking up for a sustainable future.

Supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) through its Youth Employment Project, implemented by Helvetas and Partners Albania for Change and Development, GreenPacting 2025 was more than an event—it was a call to action. By bringing together diverse voices and ideas, it reinforced the message that the green transition is a shared responsibility and an opportunity to build a better future for all.
